Jack Fischer Park contains a variety of children’s play equipment, including an interactive water feature, a “bee hive” hill with walking path, large open play fields, and restrooms. The special features at this park are particularly geared for the young child. The park got its name from the beloved Principal at the former elementary school, which used to occupy the site where the park now sits. The park has a small number of picnic tables available on a first- come, first-served basis.
Water feature open in the summer months from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

A favorite neighborhood park of ours. Great for babies, toddlers and older kids. Water feature is a blessing in the summertime (in the summertime, doesn't run on Mondays ...water conservation). Even if you remember the kids swimsuit and towel, but forget the sunscreen, there are always friends mom and dads that will let you borrow some. Many different sand areas, swings for babies and small kids. There's a fun, big hill that the kids can walk or ride up and then exclaim "I'm on top of the world" as they look down at the playground and big grassy on the other side. Great grass area for flying kits. Bathrooms clean, lots of shade. suggested items to bring: pail, shovel, other sand toys, blanket and lunch.
We stopped by Jack Fischer Park after a visit to John Morgan and it was a cute little park. I'm giving it 4 stars versus 3 because water features are a huge bonus to me during the hot summer months. The entire area is surrounded by trees which helps to provide shade when the kids take break for snack.
The play equipment is geared for the younger set, ages 6 and under, but there's plenty of grass space for running around and other sports.
