Interlochen Arts Festival

Dates for 2012: June through August.  
The festival is located on the grounds of Interlochen Center for the Arts and many of the performances take place when 2,500 students from around the world are on campus. There are hundreds of rehearsals and small practice groups all day long ... music is in the air. In addition to dozens of performances by big-name professionals, there are about 400 student performances each summer that are free. Because of the youth on campus, all events are appropriate for families.

Tent camping is available on adjacent property - at the oldest state campground in Michigan (Interlochen State Park). Excellent facilities. Bathrooms are clean and easily accessible.
