Maybe viewing the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall doesn't top the list of your kid's dream vacation, but so what! They are part of American history and are definitely worth a look. A little learning mixed in with fun never hurt anyone. It is a good place to walk around and just look at all the historical sites. There are also employees walking around that are dressed and act in accordance with colonial times. If you are in Philly, your family should definitely check it out.
This is one you and your kids will both love. See the Liberty Bell Center and Independence Hall, stop by the National Constitution Center and see the tons of other historic sites in Old City. For around $30, you can take a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic part of the city. So fun! Historic Philadelphia is not to be missed.
Forty-five acres in Center City containing more than forty different historic buildings make up Independence National Historical Park. Here you can visit the Liberty Bell Pavilion, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Old City Hall, Second Bank of the United States, Carpenters’ Hall, New Hall Military Museum, Franklin Court, Christ Church, Bishop White House, Todd House, Declaration House, and other sites.
