"Wow!"

We FLEW!  We actually FLEW!  I can't believe we actually were flying in the air.  The girls and I were lucky enough to suit up and fly TWICE.  The instructor was incredible and did so many tricks with us.  My skinny minnie daughter went so high!  It felt very weird with that giant fan blowing on our faces, but it was so fun!  We even got a video and pictures of our experience.  It was so fun!  I highly recommend it!  Buy tickets from Goldstar because its half off there.

"My daughter had a blast"

My daughters got to try indoor skydiving with her friends. The mother of one of the friends had some coupons and treated my daughter and a friend to the flight. The three friends (all aged 8) had a great time. Their enthusiasm dropped more and more after the instructional speech and video, and as they were putting their suits, goggles, and ear plugs. Both three girls kept their spirit high and each of them had a blast during their 2 one minute flight. It was a great experience for both of them. My youngest is not a very brave kid and being with her friends really was helpful. Maybe more helpful than if she had been with us. Now, my daughter is the envy of her uncles and dad who wished they could have done with her.
I took one star because of the price, it is expensive. I am not saying it is not worth it but it is definitely not cheap.

"A unique experience"

I'll say up front I haven't participated myself--my son did the actual "flying."  Another up front admission, it's ridiculously expensive.

Now the fun stuff.  My son's friend had a birthday party here (his mother is a skydiver).  Each person has two one minute flights.  I know that sounds really, really short but in skydiving time it's kinda long...or at least a normal amount of time of freefall before you'd open your chute.

Before they fly they had instruction time, then they all suit up and sit in a waiting area that's a sub-area of the flight tunnel.  Since my son was a beginner his first flight was spent helping him just stay in the right position because he kept "fighting" and flailing.  The suits have built in "handles" so the instructor can easily turn the flyer over if they start to twist and turn.  By his second flight my son was able to enjoy the flying and the instructor linked arms with him and they slowly "spun" in lateral circles.  If he had wanted the instructor would have spun faster with him or could have done some up and down movement.  These instructors had a great mastery of control over what they did with each child, able to control speed and movement.

Our son had a great time and asked if he could do this on his birthday.  We bought two half price groupons for iFly for him and his dad to do this.  We think of this experience as quality more than quantity.

"High Flying"

I found out about this location because a gymnastics instructor was promoting a special to her gymnasts.  I took my two younger girls (then 8 and 10 years old) to iFly because they were having a Ladies' Night Special, so the cost was reduced by half.

There was a twenty minute orientation, then they helped each person suit up (they have flights in groups of 8-10 or so).  They went as a group into the waiting area of the wind tunnel, and then each person had their turn to fly.

Depending on the experience of the flyer/diver, an instructor would be in the tunnel to give maximum to minimal help.  They made certain that each person had the best experience possible.

My girls enjoyed their flight tremendously, but as it is very expensive (even at half price), this will only be repeated as a special treat (birthday, holiday, graduation, etc).
