"Think Twice"

Before we started riding, but after we had committed to the wave runners, they warned us of the rudder/fins(sorry, can’t remember what they called them) at the rear of both sides of the wave runner. If we hit anything and they came off we would have to pay for them. Simple enough, don’t hit anything. The first day we didn't have any trouble and it seemed all the wave runners possessed both rudder/fins. When we came back the next day they gave us two wave runners that were each missing a fin/rudder. My question at the time was will this impact the performance of the wave runner and I was told no. But I was informed that they had fallen off the day before and they cost $50 to replace. So we went out riding and when I returned two hours later my remaining fin/rudder had fallen off. I didn't hit anything or notice any change in the performance of the craft. I was informed while completing the transaction that it would be $90 for the part and I wouldn't be able to leave until I paid the money. The manager admitted that they fall off easily. He was asked if they weren't needed why not just take them off? He had no answer to this but it seems like a nice little scam they have going on. I paid the money but wouldn't sign off on anything. It didn't matter what customer service they had shown before then, it left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.
