My husband and I have been bringing the kids to Hudson Valley Renegades games since we moved up here. We try to go at least once a year. Everyone enjoys themselves, even the babies. The characters (Rookie, Rene, and Rascal)walk around and give autographs. Last time, Rookie signed my son's glove. In between the innings there are many things going on on the field. Even if you are not a big baseball fan, you will have fun at a Hudson Valley renegades game.
They definitely try to keep the kids interest with themed nights and activities during the game. Many nights there are also fireworks so check the schedule. Food is moderately priced. There are some additional activities for the kids for a fee. Audience seems to realize that this is family orientated (as opposed to the fights and bad language that seems to often ensure at major leauge games...).
Take everyone out to the ball game! This Class A minor-league club, affiliated with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, plays from mid-June to September.
