Young and old will love this Monument - great trails for the whole family - the inside displays are fun and interactive! The park rangers are great and love to share information. A gem that is often overlooked this is a great day trip and a lovely drive in all directions ! Seven year old, 5 year old and 2 year old who loved to run the trails !
We went there with our kids (ages 8, 6, 4, and 1). The youngest was not interested. The 4yo completed the junior ranger pages for his age but he was not really interesting in the museum. The older two also completed the junior ranger pages for their ages. They had more interest but not as much as the parents. The tall-grass prairie was much more interesting for all the children. The pioneer cabin that housed 2 parents and 8 children was very interesting to all especially since we had been listening to Little House on the Prairie book on the way there. The park is spread out so you can't walk to everything.
