Holiday Downtown Lighting Ceremony

"Fun family event"

The Holiday Downtown Lighting Ceremony is usually held on the Friday after Thanksgiving at the downtown city park.  They pass out songbooks and everyone sings Christmas carols together.  They also have free hot chocolate and cookies, but they tend to run out early.  Then Mrs. Claus makes an appearance and turns on all of the lights around the park.  It's a really fun event that the whole family can enjoy.
