This museum presents the area’s cultural heritage. Peruse prehistoric artifacts, Native American relics, colonial costumes, and an 1890s dry-goods store. A Crosroads of History features a Native American wigwam, a land grant deed signed by Thomas Jefferson, Civil War surgical implements and sabers, a Victorian parlor, and a 1925 Marshall & Wendell baby grand player piano. The museum’s store, The History Shop, sells old-fashioned toys, historical maps, and books.
