"Fun with the Family"

For centuries, starting with indigenous peoples and, later, colonial settlers, presidents, and entertainers, people have come to Yellow Springs in hopes of finding a cure for their illnesses. In 1722 there was a health spa here. From 1916 to 1952 the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts ran a landscape school on these beautiful grounds. And later still, Valley Forge Films made movies here, including the 1958 Steve McQueen classic, The Blob, and 4-D Man.
At present this site is operated as Historic Yellow Springs, Inc. Visitors may take a self-guided tour of the grounds and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century buildings, but it’s most fun to come during special events such as art shows, classes, and workshops or to attend annual events such as the Frolicks.
