"Great Place"

It is absolutely Huge!  We enjoyed walking around and seeing the variety of furniture.  Everyone was very friendly and helpful.  We have gotten a lot of great ideas of what kind of furniture we are looking for and plan to go back to purchase some from there!

"Shop till you drop!"

In addition to the many stores you’ll find throughout the area, the Hickory Furniture Mart features one hundred factory stores, outlets, and galleries. In the twelve acres of showrooms you can find everything you need to decorate your home, including bedding, linens, art, floor coverings, and furniture.

Adjacent to the mart is an antiques center that includes North Carolina furniture as well as Oriental and European pieces. If shopping for furniture doesn’t hold the kids’ attention for very long, they might like learning more about the furniture industry that has been so important for this area for so long. The Catawba Valley Furniture Museumis located at the Furniture Mart on Level I.

The museum traces the roots of the industry and features a reproduction of an early woodworking shop as well as a collection of vintage tools and furniture. You will also find the area visitor center here, making it well worth the stop.
