Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center

"Learn about a dream come true"

The Hjemkomst is a Viking ship that was hand-built and sailed from Minnesota to Norway in 1982.  At the Hjemkomst Center, you can learn about the dream, the building of the ship, and the dramatic journey it took, as well as seeing the ship that seems larger than life.  Also in the building are an art gallery and county history museum, and outdoors is a replica stave church.  Our kids enjoyed seeing this.
