This park is home to 7 soccer fields though every time I've been some of them have been marked "field closed." I've always been disappointed to see those signs. Aside from soccer fields, there isn't a wide open space which is a shame since so few parks in the area offer level expanses of grass for a myriad of activities from catch to flying kites.
There's a nice trail to walk or ride a bike around and two canoe access areas. Benches and picnic tables are numerous.
The park also has an 8000 square foot picnic shelter with a catering kitchen and restrooms.
The two playground areas are nothing special...4 swings at each (2 baby swings and 2 for older kids), and a climbing structure with slides. They can become crowded easily. Our visit last week was a few days after heavy rains. There was a big trash-filled puddle under the tallest slide on one playground area.
Despite the fact this park is the closest to us, we rarely spend time there.
