"Hot, Hilly, Horrible"

Henry Coe State Park has only one thing to offer.  The part itself is easy to get to.  Our experience as a family was quite unpleasant.  We went for July 4th weekend and it was so hot and dry we weren't even allowed to light a fire.  if making smores is the definition of camping for your kids, this is a huge disappointment.  There are no showers and only pit toilets.  With the very fine dust everywhere in this park, not having showers was pretty unpleansant.  But the worst thing is that the park is very hilly, making hiking and biking with young children near impossible especially at such high temperatures.  I say families should avoid camping at this Henry Coe.  There is a reason why they had sites available 2 weeks before July 4th.
