"You had me hello, cupcake"
I love that slogan (it's on their cards). I was waiting for a friend who was getting his hair cut in DC and walked down the street to see this little shop called Hello cupcake. I went in and fell in love. It was last year around Valentine's Day so I bought a few to take to my roommates. They looked AND tasted so delicious.
The employees seemed a little rushed because there was a long line. If you purchase the right amount the cupcakes are put in a cute brown box made to hold each one in an individual spot and then they seal it with a sticker (so no cupcakes were mashed in transporting them.
A must stop place on the list if in the area and you want to indulge on the trendiness of the cupcake business.

"A whole store dedicated to cupcakes...heaven!"
This store is nothing but cupcakes...seriously. And the place was packed! When I was in DC recently, a local told me that I had to swing by Dupont Circle and try one of these cupcakes. Kids and adults alike will love making a quick stop here. Get them to go or eat them there. The peanut butter blossom cupcake is unreal--chocolate cake and peanut butter icing. Yum! When you get off the metro at Dupont Circle make sure that you start looking for Hello Cupcake immediately. It is on the other side of the street and is a very small storefront.
