Haunted Trails in Joliet is one of three Chicagoland family entertainment centers comprising the Trails Entertainment Center Corporation. It began as a small arcade and miniature golf facility in 1988, evolving into today's 14 acre indoor-outdoor complex accomodating group events for up to 2,000 guests. Attractions include two 18 hole miniature golf courses, 3 go kart tracks, batting cages, indoor and outdoor rides, games, a restaurant and party room with seating for 325 guests, laser tag, 100's of games including a nickel arcade and a 5 acre picnic grove for corporate and large group events.
Definately lives up to it's title of Haunted Trails...my son is convinced the place is haunted. Good selection of games at reasonable prices. Children earn tickets to make purchases at the prize counter. Prizes are as expected for an arcade. The location is scary and the building is dirty and outdated. Overall, the kids loved it.
As a child we went to the original Haunted Trails ALL THE TIME! I loved the themed miniture golf and the outdoor rides the most! Now they have indoor rides - like a favorite of my children...the Hopper! As well as plenty of games to play. The kids won plenty of tickets and picked out some fun prizes! The Pizza is good and overall we found it to be a good value. We meet here to celebrate my 8 year old's birthday with our family in the Chicagoland area. Definately check it out!
Haunted Trails Family Amusement Park provides active family recreation. Visitors of all ages can play miniature golf on an 18-hole course and enjoy the Monster Himalaya ride. Older and bigger kids can ride the go-karts. Little Leaguers can get some extra practice in the batting cages. Video and skill games in the arcade take 25-cent tokens and dispense reward tickets that can be collected and later redeemed for prizes. There is a restaurant on the premises, serving meals and snacks.
