Harold Higashihara Kamakana Park

"Most amazing playground!"

Located just south of Kona, about 5 minutes past King Kamehameha Hwy on the ocean side, this park is one of the most spectacular I've ever seen!  It has several large wooden, castle-like structures scattered about the playground, with activities for kids of all ages.  When on the island last, we stopped by this playground three separate times.  There are picnic facilities, restrooms, and tennis courts as well.
