Goodness, what a fun outing. This a small but interesting safari. It kept my 12 year old daughter and a friend giggling and squealing the entire drive through the park. Animals included emu, llama, steer (or at least what look like steer), bison, deer, ram, a zebra, a camel and a few others. A small walking area featured a giraffe and a kangaroo. There is a reptile room and an outdoor tortoise feeding area. You can buy feed for the animals at $5 a bucket. The cost as of 2014 is $8/person cash only. A little pricey for the size of the park but absolutely entertaining.
Even though we've been living in this area for a while, we didn't know this place until I found in AL visitor's guide website. It was a fun little place. My kids loved to see many animals tried to follow our car especially for trying to get those dried corns we purchased at the gate. If you go, don't take your expensive nice car since some big animals try to come and bump into it. However, it's something you want to go for fun for a weekend.
