Among the attractions at Hana Cultural Center are wonderful examples of Hawaiian quilts. Anyone who has ever attempted to create a quilt will appreciate the intricacies and time involved in the Hawaiian styles. The center also has a great collection of shells, stone implements used in precontact times, and tapa cloths. There are ancient Hawaiian brooms made from coconut fronds and clothing made from mulberry bark.
The center is a small, one-room museum that imparts a feeling of visiting someone’s home. Guests can get really close to all the exhibits; there are no formal glass display cases here.
