"Sweet Tooth Wonderland!"

We visited the Hammond's Candies Factory recently and enjoyed the tour, although it got a bit boring for the youngsters in our group...but they sure liked the free candy samples offered at the end!  The factory offers free paper hats for all visitors and a short tour with video and a chance to watch all sorts of candy being made and packaged.  Well worth a visit!

"Yum!"

As soon as I know we are going on a trip, I start doing research. It was nice to find this spot and even better that it was FREE.  Very short, but informative candy tour. The kids wore their little paper hats and enjoyed the free candy. And of course you can't leave without buying some for the road.... Very pleased that we could squeeze this in!

"Who doesn't like candy?"

The tour is only about a half hour long but quite informative and fun. My two year old started to get bored during the in-depth explanation of packaging and shipping, but he loved the very generous candy samples that we received at the end of our tour.

"Candy Galore"

We are a local family from Aurora. We have two kiddos, ages 5 and 7yeas of age. We wanted a weeked activity that we could see as a famly. We wanted a quick, and fun tour. Free candy is the name of the game. Family and individuals are invited to view, old candy making techniques. The Candy shop which you can access before or after the tour, has endless choices for the chocolate and hard candy lovers.

"Candy!"

We took our boys and their grandparents on a tour of Hammond's Candies.  They weren't doing much production on the day of our visit but we enjoyed seeing some of the machinery anyway.  After the tour, we bought some candy in their shop and enjoyed eating it.  It was a fun little activity for a cold day!

"Plenty to See!"

A free tour can be had at Hammond's. Fun for the kids to see how a wide variety of candies is made and be able to sample some as well as purchase the finished products on site. Interesting to see just how it's all done, packaged and sent out the door. The kids will really like this and so will the adults...a must see for anyone looking for something unique.

"Who wants candy?"

Hammond's Candies has been around since 1920 & the good people there have opened their factory to free public tours!

You get to see them making all sorts of beautiful hard candies & suckers, as well as chocolates. There is plenty of viewing space for kids to see the taffy pull machine, ribbon candy crimper, hand-rolled lollipops, and packing area.

At the end of the tour, you even get a free full-size sample! The staff is courteous & knowledgeable & the tour is very educational & fun! You can visit the candy store afterwards for more treats to bring home.

The Apple Pie Candy sample at the check-in desk is the BEST!!
