"The scenery is beautiful"

The scenery along the coast line is beautiful & there are lots of nice photo opps here. The actual blowhole is not that spectacular, unless you have never seen rocky shorelines at the ocean before. Good for a 10 minute drive-by during a visit to Hanauma Bay.

"Fun to see!"

This blow hole is something everyone should see once in their life! Having said that just keep in mind there is not alot for the kids to do here, The is an observation area along the top of the blow hole and ... thats it, this basically a turn off on the side of the road. I would plan to stop by and see this if you are going to Sea Life park as they are very close to eachother.

"nature at its best"

The week we were in Hawaii the blowhole was closed due to maintenance.  I am not sure if they were shooting a movie or not, but there was a large crew hanging out.  We were still able to see the blowhole from a nearby parking lot.  wonderful display of nature.  We loved the entire east coast and all the east coast cliffs you pass on the drive.

"Fun with the Family"

Be sure to stop at the Halona Blowhole, a lava tube through which the ocean shoots forcefully every time a wave comes in. The spray can reach 50 feet high and can even douse the onlookers watching from the cement overhang above. During humpback whale season, from November through April, this is a great spot to scan the horizon for that telltale plume or fluke.
A short scramble down the rocks leads to a picturesque sandy beach, as calm as it is beautiful. You’ll probably be the only people there, because not many people know about this secluded sight. The current is forceful just outside the bay and can pull even strong swimmers out to sea, so keep kids close to shore.
