I've been to a few zip line places in different states. This Maui one is perfect for older kids and teenagers. You start out with shorter zip lines and work your way up to a long line at the end. The guides were very helpful and safety was a top priority. You will also learn a bit about the island, so it's both educational and a blast!
My husband and I had a blast with Skyline Tours. Except we went to the one in Ka'anapali, which I believe may have more ziplines. The gentlemen guiding the tour were oyung and very comical. They were easy to talk to and they made the experience easy and fun.
The ziplines were AWESOME! Somewhat intimidating at first but as you went from one to the next, you picked up some tricks and each zip got easier to control. Watching other people gave a few good laughs, too.
The sites were gorgeous. Not only while ziplining, but the drive to the top as well. Just gorgeous. The trails can be extremely dusty so make sure you wear shoes that you can wash.
The lunch that was provided was pretty decent, as well. A hearty sandwich, chips, fruit, and water.
Definitely a must do while in Hawaii.
Ziplining is the hottest new adventure in Hawaii, and there are new tour companies on Maui and Kauai. Imagine yourself soaring over gulches and through the trees along the slopes of Haleakala. The Skyline Tour blends a short hike with five zipline crossings, an Indiana Jones-style swinging bridge, and an introduction to Hawaii's unique and fragile landscape. It's an adventure you're sure to remember long after you've returned home.
