It was absolutely amazing to see all of these hot air balloons. Adults and children were in awe by seeing them in the air.
There were other family friendly activities during the festival as well. It was a great family day.
There is not much information available for these and the local shop owners seemed to be the most knowledgable when trying to find out info.
My two and one year old spent the day in awe of all the "pretty colors" mommy. Don't go if you don't like crowds. It is a very well attended event in the tri-state area. It has a lot of options of things to do and it was well attended by police and rescue so the preparedness for emergencies was reassuring. They even have offers to go up in a balloon on a ride but since the boys were so small we passed on that. We attended with the family of the boy I babysat at the time and we all had a long enjoyable day. Food and drinks were available but we brought our own.
Children and adults can safely live out their fantasy of riding in a hot air balloon at the festival. The balloons are tethered to the ground so they won’t go too far away and the rides are free! The festival is usually Father’s Day weekend and is scheduled for June 19-21 this year. Get there early to watch the balloons race to the festival grounds. At night, the balloons are amazing all lit up. There is live entertainment throughout the day and different kid’s activities to keep them busy. This is the kind of festival where you can stay just an hour or play all day.
