We've been going here for years. It's best described as good clean family fun. Definatley milk the cow, I think that is our favorite activity! Around fall is fun too- Pumpkin patches and hayrides. Just be a little leery of the scary hayride around halloween at night, this is for the 10 and up crowd.
GMF is only about 20 minutes from Disney, but it feels very removed from the hustle and bustle. The people that run the place are very nice....
This place is kind of pricey, as mentioned in other reviews, but for us was well worth it! In the hot Florida sun it was a wonderful to stay in the shade all day at the farm.... lovely grounds! We were worried our toddler would get bored on the tour, but they keep it moving. There were so many chances to pet and feed the animals and the staff members were all patient and kind. My daughter enjoyed trying to catch a duck and feeding the goats most of all. A train ride and pony ride are included in the tour...we plan to visit again!
We went to Green Meadows Petting Zoo/Fram and opted to have a guided tour, which was informative for the parents but not so much the kids. With more than a dozen types of animals to feed and pet you will want to bring hand sanitizer although there are stations available.
You can rent a wagon to pull the kids around although it is stroller friendly.
Take note that the admission for adults and children 2 years + is $21/each - while under 2 are free.
If the kids lose interest there is a play ground with a slide and sand box for them to have some free play. The train ride through the zoo grounds is also enjoyable.
Bring lunch and lots of drinks for this outing. The Zoo does not have a great selection of food and beverages.
I loved our trip here! They take you on a tour around the farm, and you can go in the pens, and pet all the animals. You can even milk a cow. They have a little playground, also a hay ride, a little train, and pony ride. It started raining when we were there but we didn't even care. When you leave they give you a little cup so you can remember your trip. It was definitely worth it! Even older kids will enjoy going to the farm and seeing all the animals.
Some 300 farm animals call Green Meadows home. The kids (and you!) can pet ’em, milk ’em, ride ’em, and feed ’em. In this ultimate petting farm, kids mingle with the geese, sheep, donkeys, pigs, and goats. Price includes pony, miniature train, and tractor-pulled hayrides.
