"Ah-OOOOOOOOO!"

I was first introduced to the Great Wolf Lodge by my dad.  He was planning a family trip which included two grandparents, 6 adult children, and many grandchildren ranging in ages from 1-15.  Does a place exist where all would have fun…you bet.  We traveled up to Washington not sure what to expect.  Upon walking into the lodge I realized it wasn’t anything I expected.
We had booked one of the wolf den rooms, which my 3 year old daughter thought was awesome, because she had her own “room” or at least space.  The room had a mini fridge which was really nice and gave us another option from eating at the restaurants on site.  The rooms were very nice and very well kept.
Once you are at the Wolf Lodge there is no need to go out to find other fun.  Many children ran around playing Magiquest making the place come to life with animatronics, lightening, and other special effects.  A teen or preteen, as well as parents would be entertained for hours, but be warned the equipment to play isn’t exactly cheap.  There is an arcade as well that is a lot of fun.  There are day activities as well as story time at night.
The water park by far is the main draw.  With the slides, pools, kiddie, pool, and towers there is something for everyone.  There are life jackets for the children (for no charge) and the life guards are so amazing.  I have never in my life seen such alert life guards.  My daughter was running and slipped 10 feet away from me.  The life guard who was 20 ft away beat me to her and instead of going right into a lecture about why she should not be running, she instead concentrated on her well-being which was very nice to see, for her and me.
Over all this place really has something for everyone.  We only spent one night, but my daughter talked about it for months afterwards.

"Best Vacation We Have Taken!"

We knew Great Wolf wood be fun, but we didn't know we would have this much fun! We went at a time with low occupancy (the lady checking us in said the hotel was only 20% booked), so it was not crowded at all. My four year old was able to do all the water slides and not have to wait in a line. My newly turned two year old had a blast playing in the toddler/baby area and the wave pool. The nice thing is they provide life vests, free of charge. They also loved to play in the arcade and listen to storytime with Wiley at night. My only critique is the food selection is minimal. It is basically pizza or burgers as your options. However, the food was good. They have a fridge and microwave in the rooms, so if you wanted to bring things, you could make meals in your room to cut down costs. We stayed for two nights, which was just the right amount of time. You can get into the pool at 1:00 the day you check in, and stay until it closes the day you check out. I would pack a swim bag so you don't have to carry all your stuff into the changing rooms if your room isn't ready yet. Great Wolf Lodge is a must go family vacation! We are already planning our next trip!

"My kids love Magiquest"

This is my kids favorite place in the world to go! Every birthday they ask to go! Their favorite part is playing Magiquest where you have a working magic wand and fight a dragon. The rooms are the usual for a hotel except they all have a microwave and small fridge which is nice because the food isn't cheap! We alway just pay to stay for one night because you do get both days at the waterpark. My biggest tips: go during the middle of the week and not during any school holidays, it is way too busy! They say you can check in to use the waterpark at 1pm and room check in is at 4pm, but we have often come around 11 or 12 and checked in and gotten our room. Even better, remember that you do not need to be checked in to use Magicquest, so you can show up when they open and start Magiquest,  then check in later. Have fun!

"Worth the price for one night"

This is a really great place to stay. Access to the water park is limited to hotel guests only, so the water park never gets too crowded. The best part of this hotel is that you can play on the day you check in and the day you check out. So you can get 2 days of play for just the cost of one night. The water is warm enough (though not as warm as I would have liked, but the kids were fine). They provide life jackets. The rides are great, and since they limit entrance to the water park, the lines aren't very long. The hotel is kept really clean, too. The kids were obsessed with the MagicQuest game, which costs quite a bit extra, but it's a good diversion for when you're done swimming. We brought our own food because the hotel's restaurants were pretty pricey, but not anything more than any other hotel would be. For our family (4 siblings with 10 kids total) it was great for one night. Any more than that and it would have been overkill.

"A wonderful indoor getaway"

We had the opportunity to visit Great Wolf Lodge this weekend and had a good time!  We arrived just after 1 PM, the early check-in time. Our room wasn't ready, but we were given waterpark passes and headed straight to the water. For the early people, there are locker rooms and lockers available to rent. So pack your swim gear separately from the rest of the things you bring, if you plan to arrive early.
We spent about an hour in the water playing before changing back to our regular clothes and standing in line again to check in.  My son is just over 2 years old, and he had lots of fun playing in the toddler area and the wave pool with my husband. I spent most of my time holding our baby and watching all the excitement going on. The water park is kept at a very warm 80+ degree temperature, so you're nice and comfortable while hanging out in your swimsuit. There are plenty of towels in the waterpark for your use, and the park also provides lifejackets for the little ones to use.
The second check-in took us about an hour, but as the Great Wolf Lodge people said, over 400 people check in to the lodge everyday, and they almost all do so between 1 and 4 PM, so you have to expect lines.  Just be patient and you'll get there!
We were given a family suite, the lowest type of room available. But it was very spacious and very clean. The rooms all have a microwave and small fridge, as well as a coffee pot. So bring a cooler or bag of snacks and food from home, if you're looking to save on costs. We saw people showing up with crock pots and carts full of food and drinks!
We did ask for a crib in our room, and were provided with a Evenflo pack n play. The sheet was just a regular sheet to fold around the pack n play mattress, so if that's something you don't want to use, bring your own pack n play sheet from home.
We didn't end up eating our meals at the lodge, but there are many choices onsite. I've seen reviews where people complain about the cost, but the bar and grille prices seemed pretty equivalent to a typical chain restaurant.  Again, if meal costs are a concern, just bring food with you!
The park is full of things to do, a club for the teens, an arcade, waterpark, spa, kids club, you name it. The most popular thing in the preteen set is this wand game that is played all over the lodge. The kids looked like they were having the time of their lives!
My kids are too young to take advantage of all of the extra things available at the park, but that meant they weren't asking for money to spend as well. :)  I can see that the costs could add up pretty quickly for a family, but if you're aware and plan on that going in, then I think you'd have a great time.
This park is probably best for families with kids who are at least 3 and up. My kids were a little young to really enjoy everything, but my son did have a great time playing in the water. Also, during the winter holidays the lodge is decorated with trees and lights and there's even fake snow that falls indoors, so that was a lot of fun as well.
So, if you're looking for a great indoor escape from the cold weather and want to have lots of fun- go check out Great Wolf Lodge!

"Best Family Adventure Water Park"

Our family had an absolute great time at this lodge. I am not sure what the kids liked better the enormous indoor waterpark or the MagiQuest interactive game. We stayed in one of the suites that the kids have their own cabin themed bunkbeds. Really creative. Your room key bracelet acts as your payment for EVERYTHING in the lodge. It is a great feature but you can spend a lot of dough quickly here. The entrance into the waterpark is included but there are many extra fun things to do such as; Kids Spa (expensive but my daughter LOVED it), food, MagiQuest, arcade, ice cream parlor and their own Crocs store. Make some time to see the end of the night storytelling by the animated forrest.  You will have a great time but bring your own cooler of food to save yourself some $$.
