It's been a few years since we've visited the Melodrama, but the performances that we've seen were absolutely hilarious! We had so much fun getting some snacks and drinks and watching the comedic action going on on the stage. I have heard, however, that some of the shows can be a little more serious, so read the reviews before going and you're sure to have a great time! I'm not sure if I'd take my younger kids, but my 6 year old might start to enjoy a few of the shows.
Enjoy side-splitting comedy and family entertainment. Don’t be put off by the industrial surroundings. Once inside this 260-seat old-fashioned cabaret-style hall, complete with sawdust on the floor, you’ll feel completely at home. The theater is owned and operated by Lynn Schlenker and her family. The actors and actresses do triple duty—they serve you food and drinks before they perform, then act on stage, and finally they fraternize with you and other audience members after the show. The best time to attend is definitely during December for the Holiday Extravaganza.
