"One of our favorite family activities"

We regularly walk from our home from Pier 39/North Beach to the Ferry Building and it never ceases to make us happy.  Whether windy or sunny, it's a great place to people-watch and take in San Francisco history.  Watch out for the plaques in the sidewalk and the totem poles sharing poetry and fun facts.  Imagine how it might have looked when San Francisco was a busy port city and the building on the corner of Battery and Embarcadero was a train station.  Let your kids run through the creek in the manicured park next to Fog City Diner. Eat lunch at one of many fine restaurants at the Ferry Building.  Check out http://sundaystreetssf.com/ for no-traffic days.  You can't go wrong!

"Fun with the Family"

A wide sidewalk perfect for in-line skates, baby strollers, and your feet. Cruise along through Crissy Field, past the small craft harbor and the Marina to Aquatic Park, Ghrardelli Square and the Cannery, past Fisherman’s Wharf to Pier 39. Continue along the commercial piers to the Ferry Building and Justin Herman Plaza, beyond the Oakland Bay Bridge and the outdoor cafes of South Beach, to AT&T Park, enjoying the fishing piers, benches, historic markers, restaurants, and rest stops along the way.
Take the F Line trolley back from Market Street to Fisherman’s Wharf.
