"AWESOME place!!! Beautiful and Natural and FUN"

Our teenage son and his Dad went here and they say it is absolutely their favorite place to camp! They went with the Boy Scout troop and here is about a mile-ish (they said)  of small rock formations all together that they love to jump from one to the other. They actually play hide and seek and have a great time. I wouldn't do this with my little ones, but probably my 8 year old and up would enjoy this---we are planning a trip here for the summer with ALL of us this time. :)

"Cool rock formations!"

This remote park is a fun place for kids to roam free! The rock formations are "cool" to kids and breath-taking for adults. My son really enjoyed climbing the rock formations (we tested them to make sure they were safe). Because there is so much open space, you'll want to make sure your child is old enough to know to stay within your sight or stay right by them. Some are even brave enough to camp there, although I'm not sure I'd recommend it with a 2 year old (it's pretty remote, as previously mentioned).

"Funky Rocks!"

We spent the night camping at Goblin Valley State Park. The campground was clean and fun, with lots of rocks to climb all around. Unfortunately, the bathrooms ran out of water by the morning, so the toilets were getting gross and showers were not possible, not to mention the lack of water for making coffee.  The Valley of Goblins was AMAZING! We walked around on the paths and made up stories about all the goblins around. Highly recommended.

Note it is fairly remote, so make sure you have the food you need - we used our "emergency" cans of soup.

"Goblin Valley"

This is a great park for kids. There are tons of little rock formations that seem to stretch forever. You could spend a long time there just going through the different formations. Lots of opportunities for pictures also as you explore the different areas.

"Who knew rocks could be so fun!"

There is no other place on earth like Goblin Valley State Park in Utah.  This park is covered with unique rock formations.  The best part about these formations - you can climb them!  Your kids will be running from one formation to another trying to get to the top.  Your family could spend hours here just exploring and climbing!  We spent a day at Capitol Reef National Park and a day at Goblin Valley State Park.  All of our kids said that they enjoyed the state park best and can't wait to return.

Be sure to have your kids earn the junior ranger badge.  They'll learn something and get a cool badge to wear.
