Lots of old time activities for the family to enjoy. Learn and participate in gold panning, arcades and butter churning!
My son's favorite part about our trip to the Ghost Town Museum was panning for gold! He was so excited about that. We also learned a lot about the history of the area, but that didn't hold my kid's attention very well. It did start raining while we were out there, but we just looked at the indoor exhibits until it passed.
Another one of the stops on our tour of Colorado for our fourth grader's State History unit study. This Ghost Town Museum is wonderful! Admission during the summer includes panning for gold, a highlight for my kids for certain! We learned about the history of the cry, "Pike's Peak or Bust!" and experienced what life would have been like in the late 1800s. This is also a great place to visit during the winter as much of the experience is indoors and sheltered from the elements.
