"Great sundaes"
This place has the best ice cream sundeas EVER! One will feed two children. Plus there is a smaller cafe like ice cream shop on the opposite side of Ghirardelli square if you're not interested in waiting for your ice cream and a table. If you go on a weekend or during the summer expect long wait times.

"Yummy!"
Who doesn't love icecream?! The whole family can find something that they enjoy at Ghirardelli even if it means a cone, a banana split, or a cup of coffee. After spending the after walking the waterfront it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. If you're lucky they will also be handing out free samples of their wonderful chocolate!

"Ghirardelli Square"
This is an enjoyable place to bring kids. There are fun shops to check out and its fun to just walk around. Great little restaurants and fantastic chocolate! This is my children's favorite place in San Francisco and I love it because we all split a very large sundae, it is great! the food is absolutely fantastic and we absolutely love the desserts. I recommend this to a family of any age. You can not spend a whole day here, but for half of a day it is perfect. This would also be a fun birthday spot, if you are looking for something to do with your family. Highly recommended.
