"Peaceful year round"

This is nice place to get out the car, go for a nice walk and enjoy the fresh air while learning about Native American culture. What I really love  about visiting there is that we can go for a family walk and bring our dog too as they are permitted on leash. There are some nice trails to take that are pretty flat and not too long if your kids aren't up for a long walk. But if you have older kids that like to hike around, there are many trails for that too. When the weather is nice, you can pack a picnic lunch and sit at one of the picnic tables. It is free to visit the park and walk around, but you do have to pay a small price for the visitor center and longhouse.  Also there are fun winter and summer festivals every year to enjoy! The park is open year round, but the visitor center and longhouse are open Spring through the fall.

"Fun with the Family"

This was once the site of a thriving Seneca settlement of more than 4,500 people. Destroyed by the French in 1687 to cut down on the competition for the fur industry, today the area offers interpretive trails and exhibits that recount the history of the Senecas, the destruction of their village, and the native plants they prized.
