This is a regional New England fair held over a 1 week period in Fryeburg Maine usually around Columbus day weekend. As we travel to northern New Hampshire every October we always try to make a stop at the fair. In addition to the usual fair food, and booths both great in number and variety there are learning experiences for the kids including maple sugaring, farm life old and new, a farm machinery museum, school house demo, farm cooking demos, the usual animals and a large midway. Some of the days have wristband purchases available to save some money. There is also a big amount of 'country fried' entertainment both for the kids and adults both strolling and scheduled. You might want to see the fireworks or place a wager on some of the legel tables. It is an interesting and fun way to spend a day.
