Frozen Head State Park

"Great place to roam"

Frozen Head is a great place for a Sunday afternoon drive, hike and play! They have a fun playground that is shaded to keep the kids from getting sunburned and have restroom facilities nearby (always a plus in a state park). Although, closed when we visited, they have a great Lookout Tower Trail where you can visit an observation tower. They also offer various events throughout the year such as wildflower hikes! The playground area is adjacent to lots of picnic tables and a small stream runs though the play area which is fun for the little ones! Make sure you bring shoes that can get dirty!
