"Fascinating Rare Books and Architecture"

This library is much more than a library.  Be sure to visit on a day that the rare book section is available for viewing.  You will see Edgar Allen Poe's hand written poems and his stuffed Raven, Beatrix Potter's hand written notes along with so much more. Most appropriate for tweens, teens and adults. A facinating   experience for book  lovers.

"Fun with the Family"

The Free Library of Philadelphia stands across Logan Square from the Franklin Insti-tute and the Academy of Natural Sciences and down the parkway from the Art Museum and Rodin Museum. It houses more than six million books, magazines, newspapers, and other printed items and frequently hosts special events and exhibits. The library is open daily in winter, closed Sunday in summer. On Sunday, there are tours of its remarkable rare books department.
