Dates for 2012: Aug 31 - Sept 2
The folk and bluegrass music festival takes place outdoors on Reservoir Hill in downtown Pagosa Springs, Colo.
The festival is especially nice for children because of the proximity to the town of Pagosa Springs and adjacent forest and wilderness areas, and its in-town hot springs pools. The pools include a non-mineral, family-friendly swimming pool with lap lanes, a fresh-water Jacuzzi, and 16 soaking pools for kids to enjoy. There’s also big-screen movie viewing at the pools.
The folk and bluegrass music festival takes place outdoors on Reservoir Hill in downtown Pagosa Springs, Colo. The venue is beautiful and in-town. Pagosa Springs itself is located in southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, surrounded by the three million-acre San Juan National Forest, and adjacent to the largest contiguous wilderness area in the nation, the Weminuche Wilderness. Pagosa Springs is home to the largest and hottest natural mineral outflow in the world, with the springs noted for their healing and restorative qualities. Visitors can choose between three downtown soaking/bathing facilities that offer indoor and outdoor pools.
