"Peaceful Getaway"

Fort Washington Park is the home of The Little Red Lighthouse in the neighborhood of Washington Heights.  It has great paths to ride bikes,, though unfortunately, they are the same paths dedicated for walkers.

The park has a picnic area overlooking the magnificent George Washington Bridge and Hudson River.  It's a great spot to watch the sunset.  The also have a few tennis courts for those who are into the sports.

"Fun with the Family"

In the shadow of the George Washington Bridge, the 3,500-foot majestic link between New York and New Jersey, is a 146-acre shoreline park that’s home to a little red lighhouse. Made famous by the Hildegarde H. Swift and Lynd Ward classic children’s book, THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE, and THE GREAT GRAY BRIDGE, the river beacon was falling apart by 1951 and slated for demolition.
