The park has many activities specifically designed for our younger visitors.
In addition to a new Audio Tour specifically designed for families with children, the park features a new hands-on exhibit inside the reconstructed Counting House.
Not only are our special events kid-friendly...several activities, at the annual Brigade Encampment special event, are led by kids!

This is a great day trip activity. This park has activities year round for people of all ages. If you go on the website for the fort they give you specifics on what is happening each weekend. This fort has tons of historical events including walking tours with the history of the area, old fashioned ball games, fireworks and ghost story tours. Some weekends not everything is open at the fort but there is always something open. It always seems like there is a volunteer dressed up in period clothes telling you about a specific trait. I loved visiting the fort as a child and now I can share it with mine. I remember the experience of baking bread as a child at the workshop. This is a great place to visit.
If all the walking gets you hungry go right down the road and you will find The Rock for lunch. This has awesome pizza some of the best in the area.
