"A Sight to See"

I love Fort Stanwix- my whole family has been there. It is so cool to be able to walk around the fort and look in the buidings. Back when I was a kid we were able to take great pictures and they did a re-enactment with soldiers, guns and everything. I will definitely be taking my son here because we don't live close enough for a school trip like I had when I was a kid. Although Rome is not that great of an area you can drive through and see the old air force base  still and some other older monuments. I definitely recommend taking the kids here if they are at least five.

"Fort Stanwix is a piece of history"

Fort Stanwix is an interesting place to visit for historical value.  Both as a child and as an adult, I personally found this place to be boring.  It is simply an old wooden fort.  They do have recreations of different historical activities, but again my personal feeling is boring.  I think this type of place requires the right type of visitor.  May be nice for a child learning about the Revolutionary War era in school.
