Old Fort Bedford was a British stockade built in 1758 during the French and Indian War. Later it was used as a British outpost on the frontier until the early 1770s. Fort Bedford is gone, but you can learn about its past by touring the Fort Bedford Museum. The museum includes a large scale model of the fort, Native American artifacts, weapons, uniforms, a Conestoga wagon, and children’s toys of the period. Wheelchair accessible.
