At this pumpkin patch, you’ll be picking pumpkins right out of the field where they are grown.  Kids will love seeing the unwieldy pumpkin vines and the wide variety of pumpkins that come in all shapes and sizes.  They also have a hay pyramid and petting zoo.

"Back to the basics"

If you are going to take your kids to a farm to pick pumpkins, I really think it should be about getting dirty and hunting down your pumpkin of choice, not about bouncy houses and train rides.  That's my personal opinion.  With all that extra stuff, kids just get distracted and hardly spend anytime enjoying the process of picking out a pumpkin.   Not at Farmer's Bob's Pumpkin Farm.  At bob's it back to the basics and I like it that way.  The big excitement for our kids is pushing a wheel barrow or riding in one.  You actually walk in the field where the pumpkins grow so kids get to see the leaves and vines the pumpkins grow on.  I love for them to see how things grow. They also have these giant sunflowers in the fields where the kids can pick out sunflower seeds.   Farmer Bob's has many different varieties of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.  Our family has a tradition of picking out odd shaped pumpkins - they make for special looking jack-o-lanterns.  Farmer Bob's does have a hay pyramid and a farm zoo that the kids enjoy.  I really like that we don't end up spend tons of money on rides.
