The Exploration Station is a non-profit public benefit facility where local families and visitors can enjoy activities designed to spark the imagination and creativity of youth. At the heart of the facility is a Children’s Interactive Science Center, which houses hands-on interactive science exhibits and displays designed to engage and educate children ages 3-12. The exhibits and modules are added to and exchanged regularly.
We had a school field trip to the Exploration Station today, and I must say, it was quite fun! It was really small (plan on spending an hour there), but there were so many fun science stations for the kiddos that ranged in academics. My 2 1/2 year old had as much fun as my 6 year old trying everything out, and the high schoolers that went with us were definitely not bored! We also made little helicopters out of paper to take home and fly. The price was definitely right, $2 for seniors and children ages 3-17, and $3 for adults.
