"Kayak tour of the mangroves "

We did a 3 hour kayak tour in the Everglades - leaving near Everglades City, SE of Naples.  An incredible experience - we saw all sorts of wildlife close up - beautiful birds, turtles, snakes (2), and alligators (from baby to a huge ~13' scary one).  I had a double kayak with my 11yo daughter and the guide took my 8yo in his kayak - he was great with the kids - really took it down to their level and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day.  Went through a mangrove tunnel & narrow river to open "pond".  The only thing that made me nervous was the huge gator at the very end - and that was my decision to go over to look at him - he was definitely scary!  

Plus the cherry on top was seeing a pink flamingo flying on the way home - a first for me and I had lived in FL for about 5 years!
