Escape Zone is a wonderful place for kids. My daughters girl scout troop planned a day there and they all had a good time. They were in the skating rink for hours. I brought my three year old as well, he loved the little power wheels cars in the toddler and the hampster wheel. He could not skate, but he got on a scooter and was trucking along. Clean safe enviroment.
I went to Escape Zone this past weekend with my little brothers and sisters and thought it was great. The staff was very helpful and the place was very clean. My kids had a blast!!!! Prices are super cheap and very affordable. They also have door security which I thought was great because it's always hard going out with 4 small kids but, the door security made it so much safer. Thanks for bringing a safe, fun place to Fort Myers
Great Place . They had door security for my kids and a varity of different things to do. We bought All Day Passes and both of my children recieved Free Passes to visit another day. The place was very clean considering how busy they were and all of the staff were very polite. My kids won lots of toys at the prize counter. Lots of fun!
I love this place. It's HUGE... The kids have a blast everytime we go. Very friendly staff. Prices are super cheap and they keep getting new arcades. Food is great. It's like real New York style and it was only $10 for the large pizza. I also feel very safe when we come because they now have door security so that is great.
Had my childs birthday at Escape Zone last week, my daughter and all of her friends had a great time. They loved the scooters as well as all of the other activities. They let her pick a toy out of this hugh treasure box, she was very excited. The place was very Clean when we went. Our family had a great day, and we got some really nice pictures. We were invited to a birthday next week there, so we will be back. Hope this was helpful
I had a party for my daughter her last year in April. So, My daughter requested to go to Escape Zone. I promised her 2weeks ago we would go. We went today and I stated we wanted to skate and my daughter has her own skates. I was told my total was $7. I paid. I got my skates. We skated. I returned them because I didnt want to walk around with heavy skates and while chasing a toddler (3yrs old). We went outside to eat the candy we won together. We came back inside and ate nachos and hotdogs because every thing else had to ordered from nextdoor. My daughter wanted to skate again. I went to get another pair of skates. The kid who watched me pay, gave me my first set of skates and gave my daughter 5 lolipops (instead of 6 he offered) for her 73 ticket receipt. This same kids told me "that would be $7". Really!? I have to pay again? per rental in the same day? So, This woman who seems to be staff and seems to be the only adult on staff tells me she is only "let me pass this time" like I am trying not to pay. I told her I am not trying to get out of paying I just want to know what I owe. So she says "well if you want to pay that will be $9". (So, in the 2hrs I have been her with my daughter at escape zone the skate rental went from $2 to $7 to $9). Apparently, instead of charging me $7 as an adult and adding $2 for skate rental and giving my 3yrs old a free child wrist band. I was charged $7 for a toddler and given a free parental wrist band. According to the manager, who lacked professionalism, I should have been charged $7 as an adult, $7 for my 3yr old to be charged as an adult and $2 for the rental. I dont mind paying $16 however most people dont charge for toddlers. The Manager basic stated my time was of no value. I came to spend time with my daughter not being disrepected by her. If this is how she treats me as a paying customer I can only imagine how she treats the teenagers who work there. I think this place is overrated. NO PRICE LIST POSTED. I dislike Chuck E. Cheese but the prices are posted, they are established, organized and have better customer service skills.
OK, I read the other reviews. This place is not the cleanest but then you are not at DISNEY so what do you expect? We had so much fun at my granddaughter's birthday party. It was ten times more fun than Chuck E Cheese. I'm not a skaing expert and the skating rink was just fine for our purposes. The bouncy houses were huge and the other games were fine, although some didn't work. Our birthday hostess, Wales, was just adorable and she made the party even more special. The pizza, drinks, the ice cream sundae (make your own) and the popcorn, were all just an added bonus on top of a really fun place. We will definitely go here again.
A cement floor for a roller rink? This should be illegal. The first time I went here (under the old name) all of the video games must have been purchased at an auction, as the auction stickers were still on the screens! I was reluctant to let my son do anything but play golf because it was so very dirty. Additionally, users had to purchase cards to ride/use games and they didn't work properly on the video games so they sucked down my pre-purchased card without ever actually letting us play the games. On top of that, any ride that required an adult to ride with your child, the establishment required the adult to also pay for the ride, so one ride cost a fortune (most places will let the adult "chaperone" for free if it's required). I wouldn't step foot in this place if someone paid me handsomely to do so. Stay away. AFTER READING MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSE TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS, I HAVE TO WONDER WHY SO MANY PEOPLE DON'T SHOW UP FOR WORK IN ONE DAY? PERHAPS EVEN YOUR EMPLOYEES CAN'T TAKE PRIDE IN AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT IS SO NEGATIVELY VIEWED BY CUSTOMERS. We tried it because it sounded like so much fun, but I can't see how you will ever stay in business when most of the reviews carry messages like "dirty" and "slow service" or "expensive" in them. Having worked in a corporate service industry, I know that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your company. (One of our tag lines was "clean house, cleans restrooms, money to the bank" and it worked. Perhaps you could follow these and you will see repeat customer--and money in the bank.)
The commercial certainly makes this place look fantastic. But honestly, the place could have been MUCH cleaner, the staff was average, food was horribly basic, and the prices reflect the quality.
I used to frequent Bounce N Glow with my children because it's close to home and the staff was always friendly. The place was pretty dirty then, also. The owners were in the newspaper for the opening of the establishment.... which are the same owners of Escape Zone? This means the same people responsible for Bounce N Glow are still responsible for Escape Zone. Nothing was handed over or sold. Sounds like a back-up plan for a failing business, but that's okay... gotta do what you gotta do. The common-area trash cans are usually full when I go in there, but there are emptier cans located in the building a walk away. On the weekends, there's almost always a wait at the counter for redemption...which drives the kids insane and myself as well.
The carpet situation in the toddler area SERIOUSLY needs to be assessed, it's disgusting. I love the idea of the Movie Lounge, that's my personal escape. The rink is nice and big... it isn't wood flooring, it's smoothed concrete but it all hurts just the same, lol. Lots of bounce areas, but there needs to be more proper receptacles to place shoes in, rather than tossing them on the floor. Although, the bounce houses were sort of nasty, too. One of my kids kept trying to hand me leaves and hair (yuck!) while I was watching. I usually have to scrub the black off my children when we get home... but they surely have fun.
The changes they've done have their pros and cons. The place has a chaotic and unorganized feel, and now I usually only go in for friends birthday parties during the weekend. Yes, it's 'cheap', but there's cleaner places with a better environment... the other 'fellow-customers' and their children sometimes have me worried for the safety of my children, bad vibes.
I'd recommend this place if you have a herd of Hellians you're trying to keep entertained, but I would NOT recommend this for the neat-freak, watchful, and concerned type parents.
Hope this was helpful.
In my opinion this place needs a major cleaning, evaluation of some of the staff, and have rules regarding letting people in that appear to be in a "gang". The staff member located outside with the bounce houses seemed to take his outdoor job as an opportunity to smoke. There was a group of teenagers in the video game area amongst the younger kids wearing what appeared to be gang related colors and looked very intimidating. I really don't want to bring my children to a place that allows that kind of activity. This place is centrally located and I do believe has potential. We need more safe places that we can take our children to enjoy themselves. With so many people out of work these days, it can't be hard to find adequate staff to take pride in their jobs.
Very scary after 5pm. I went to a birthday party and at 1st glance said, this is nice. But after 15 min you realize its cheap for a reason! Yes take a close look. Cheap help, birthday packages are NOTHING for a lot of $ and the element is dangerous. My husband was an off duty officer and he went to get his gun to have it on him. He said, "This is the kind I deal with" It made everyone nervous and when fights broke out, I realized there was only the Manager trying to break it all up. Sweet girl, trying her hardest , but had no help backing her up. Sad , just another rip off that cares nothing about the safety of our children, only making $$$.
That person writing the nasty review was overly critical. The place was kind of messy but not unreasonably messy. There were multiple birthday parties and kids are filthy little mongrels. I expect the place was as clean as humanly possible. Everything is priced fairly maybe even cheaply. The kids enjoyed themselves very much. I wish there were better options for food though. A quick look at the kitchen area and it becomes obvious that EZ has very little space to work with so I guess I can forgive that. Where the place really shined was the staff. They were all surprisingly courteous and attentive for a bunch of young adults. I had an absolutely miserable exhausting time at EZ, however I'm the dad and it's not supposed to be fun for me. The kids on the other hand loved it and I plan on grudgingly taking them again.
Our facility is always spotless and very clean. Unfortunately the lady with the bad review came in on Saturday Jan 8Th. Which happens to be a day that 4 employees did not show up for work. 2 cleaners, a cashier and a redemption person did not come into work that day. Considering we had 16 birthday parties and at least 1000 people walk through the door that day the employees did a phenomenal job considering how busy and under staffed it was. The place did need picking up and cleaning and we did the best we could under the circumstances. We only had 1 cashier, 1 kitchen person, 1 Bounce House attendant, the party manager, party hostesses and the general manager working that day. as soon as the lines would die down the employees would run out and clean as much as they could. Everyone did an excellent job that day and no one was even able to take a break. That is how busy and understaffed we where. We are a brand new company. Bounce N Glow went out of business. We took over the building, closed it down and renovated for 3 months before we opened. We also have the best prices in town. Tues & Thurs $4 - Mon, Wed & Fri $6 and Sat & Sun $7 with a skate rental charge of $2 if needed. Our prices are good for all day use and we have no time constraints.
Escape Zone Management
First off, I came on here to say this place is awesome. I took all four of my kids on Saturday and it was around 38 bucks for them to skate and play on everything all day long, the bounce houses outside were awesome. Everything was as clean as it could be given there were 200 or so people in the building. So to the lady with the bad review if 9 dollars was to expensive for you perhaps you should consider going to the park it is free because there is no place in Ft Myers or the surrounding area that is this cheap and the staff is awesome as well. The staff was awesome, even though they were busy they made everyone feel welcomed. I met the General Manager Charlie while I was there he was a great guy and a lot of help also.
I saw a big ad in the paper when they opened, and thought it was a brand new place. However, it happens to be that Escape Zone bought Bounce And Glow. I have never been to Bounce And Glow, but I know there used to be go carts. In place of go carts, Escape zone has a nice skating area. They also have game machines, tots playroom, bounce houses and slides. My son enjoyed the bounce houses and slides, but I was disappointed with this place.
First, the place was dirty. (especially because I thought it was new). There were pizza and trash on the tables for hours. The play room requires people to take of their shoes, but the carpet was very dirty. I did not want my 6 month old to lay on the floor here.
Second, some of the machines/games did not work properly. You have to purchase tokens separately from admission, so when you use tokens and the machines don't work, it is frustrating.
And Lastly, after I got tickets to exchange to a prize, I had to wait about half an hour to get a staff to help us. This happened because there were many people coming in, and at that time there was only one staff that had to take care of admissions and prizes.
I will not be going back because it is dirty and expensive.
took grand son to check out loves games activties im from out of state and looked on internet what a blast. my grand son loves games but also has lots of energy compared to chucky cheese and jokers i was totalt amased at all the dirent activities there were
Escape Zone Skate and Funcenter in Fort Myers is a great place for kids. They just opened this month. My kids had a great time. They have alot of bounce houses, slides, obstacle courses, skating rink, a large toddler area, arcade, and alot more. Everything is indoors, and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around.
Get the inside scoop from parents who have been there!
