Located in downtown Denver, Elitch Gardens is a 119-year-old tradition of affordable
family fun and entertainment offering two parks in one, a family theme park and the
Island Kingdom Water Park.
Elitch Gardens isn't that much different than your typical amusement park, but everything they do is very good. The place never feels cramped and there's lots of different types of rides. We even enjoyed the couple of shows we saw, plus you could get out of the sun (always a good idea in Colorado)!
Six Flags Elitch Garden was a day full of fun! They have some of the best roller coasters and rides! The lines are not too bad as far as wait time. Its expensive so bring a lunch or snack! We had A fun time! Also, The water park is right next to it so bring your bathing suit and you can go from one to the other!
This park had plenty to do for everyone in the family. The young children's rides were in a separate area and there was a neat place where they could play with foam balls that was shaded and cool. There were some rides that my 10 year old had never been on before at other parks so that was a bonus. The park also has a water park which had a play area for younger children, slides for older kids and a wave pool. One drawback was that it cost $5 to rent a locker and there was a $10 deposit; the deposit was refunded in Elitch dollars...so you really just got back money that you had to spend in the park. You cannot bring outside food and drinks into the park but there are picnic facitilies in the parking lot. Overall, we had a very good time.
