"Fun with the Family"

This was the last military outpost built by Spain in the New World, dedicated in 1782. A continuous project restores the actual structures, including El Cuartel, the padre’s quarters; the chapel; and the commandant’s office. A slide show and guided tours are offered upon request. This is a piece of living history you just can’t ignore. Our kids really liked the story of the lost cannon. Ask a docent for the details.
