"Laid-Back, Nice Beach"

We stopped at East Beach while touring the UC system, making a stop at UCSB. It was a nice diversion. The beach is really close to the campus, but it was nearly deserted in July. It was quiet, pretty, and the perfect place for our 2 year old to play in the sand.

"East Beach, playstructure and grill"

This is our favorite beach to take kids. I like it because I park, don't have far to carry the gear, have a beautiful beach, small play structure and outside seating at the East Beach grill. The kids can sit at the tables sandy, wet with no shoes and eat burgers, fish and chips, ice cream, etc out side. (Hey Mom's and Dad's, they sell beer). Park in the parking lot (there is a small charge) or across the street. A few blocks fromt the SB Zoo.
