E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park

"An Award Winning Playground"

The playground at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, which was named for a fallen police officer, was named Best of North Metro in 2010 and we certainly understand why...this sensory playground is HUGE with activities for kids of all abilities!  Don't forget your swimsuits or a change of clothes -- there's even shooting water fountains to play in when the weather's nice.  While we've actually been to other playgrounds that we liked better, the girls had a good time racing between all the different equipment.  The park itself is beautiful as well -- lots of flowers, a large green expanse with Webster Lake (where you can rent paddle boats!) in the middle and art pieces scattered through the park.  There are plenty of tables (as well as pavilions for rental) available for your picnic lunch.  Definitely a good choice for an afternoon outing!
