If you grew up with anime or love the whimsical/sinister nature of Japanese cartoons, visit DoublePunch.  Our son really loves Ugly Dolls and they usually have a good assortment.  But they also stock collectibles of Japanese and "designer" toys.  They often exhibit art, too.  It's hard not to want to buy the cool robots, the cute t-shirts and the 80's anime but you can enjoy the store as a "toy gallery" or a good place to buy unique gifts.
