One of the few remaining posts that carry on trade with the local Native Americans.
What a unique and fun experience! A truly authentic trading post. A MUST SEE!
Just outside of the Grand Canyon, this trading post puts the others to shame. The owners are friendly and very helpful. My kids loved the animals, furs, fossils and Indian dolls, I'm sure yours will too.
We stopped at this quaint but large trading post on our way back from the Grand Canyon on our road trip to CO. Our kids loved looking at the snow covered tepees and other relics in the front of the store, and then all the unique nicknacks inside. There were not just the normal plastic things, but actual hand crafted leather moccasins and boots, axes and hides, and a rattlesnake quiver. Many other Native American arts and crafts were represented and were of a very nice quality. We found a couple of nice picture books to buy, some wooden rubber band guns and a few postcards. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful and we were really glad we stopped here!
