We went on the whale watch in August. I was tentative because I get motion sickness and had gotten sick on a whale watch sailing expedition in the past. This however was a large boat and the seas were calm. They did have complementary sea sickness meds in the galley if you asked. The whole family, 7 year old boy/girl twins and a 4 year old girl enjoyed the 3 hour ride. There was a naturalist on board who could tell the type of whale and their specific behaviors. We saw 2 mother calf pair and more than a dozen more different whales. We also saw different behaviors including breeching. It was a highlight of our Cape Cod trip. I suggest if it is a sunny day to sit under an awning or on the lower level. When the whales appear they are very close and everyone gets up and goes to the sidebars to view them. There is plenty of room. However while you are riding and waiting, it can get quite hot. Also, the naturalist usually speaks from the top floor.
